Winding Road Technique

By Michael P. Ganci

I have the client close his eyes and imagine standing in front of two roads, one to the left, the other, right. I have him access the negative state or wrong decision (Example, A smoker continuing to smoke). As the client walks down this road he sees all the negative responses to that decision. I have him describe the VAK (Visual-Audio-Kinesthetic) impressions. Then, I have him open his eyes and shake it off. Next I have the client go through the same process on the opposite road, seeing all the positive outcomes. Once again I have him describe the VAK impressions on his senses. Finally, I have the client come back and stand at the beginning of both roads. The client must make a decision as to which road he wants to take. He will then close his eyes and as he steps upon the right road, he will VAK the experience of the wrong road being demolished. He is now on the "right" road.
