Tension Release

I would have the client take in a deep breath and release it slowly 3 times. On each exhale, I would have the client release any tension. I would have the client then scan the body for any tension that may be left. If there were any tension left, I would have them keep deep breathing until all tension was gone. Once the noticeable tension was gone I would have them breathe in peace and tranquillity, until they were at peace. I would have them imagine anything that was keeping them from peace and put it in a balloon, whether it was a scene, a face, or words that first came to mind. They would do this until no more came to mind or their imagination. They would lift their index finger when this was complete. Now I would have them imagine peace as a color of light. I would have them surround each balloon with that light letting the light grow until they could no longer see the balloon. When they were finished with all the balloons, I would ask them to raise their index finger. I would have them recall the peace and the light by touching their index finger and thumb together. Anytime they wish to recall this peace all they would have to do is take 3 deep breathes in slowly and release slowly and touch their index finger and thumb together.
