Road Rage Disabler Technique
By Jeffrey L. Rutherford
- You are both the director and star of a documentary film. The theme of the film is a particular time
when you were angered by the actions of another motorist.
- Establish a "pity" anchor "'A"
- Establish a "'calmness" anchor "'B"
- Stack anchors "A" and "'B"
- Run the film from your perspective behind the wheel of your car. Notice what you saw, heard and
felt as the event unfolded.
- Watch the scene again, this time from a different camera angle as you watch yourself as the star of the
film as the event unfolds.
- Once you have completed watching the scene, rewind the film and watch it run backwards to the
beginning. As you do, notice the initial BEHAVIOUR of the other driver that originally upset you.
- When you find the upsetting moment, pause and mark the film segment. Now run it from the first
person again, but this time in slow motion. Just as you come to the marked footage, FIRE stacked anchor (A, B).
- Identify a more appropriate response to situation and replay film with "new ending" firing off stacked
anchor (A, B) at the splice point. Future Pace and re-fire anchor to test.
