Something to think about from Dr. Wil Horton

A Call To Action... ã Michael Ellner, 2002

The ever increasing pace and pressures of modern life is already a serious threat to our health and well being. Add the considerable effect of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and the resulting war and we truly risk becoming a nation that habitually lives in dread.

As I write, there are tens of millions of people living with chronic feelings of helplessness, hopelessness and fear. And make no mistake about it, this is not only a serious threat to their health, this is a serious threat to our national health.

People who habitually feel helpless, hopeless and fearful become vulnerable to opportunistic diseases over time. People who habitually feel helpless, hopeless and fearful are also at risk of developing a wide range of anxiety and conversion disorders, as their fears and concerns take on a life of their own.

This is evidenced by the 50 million Americans who suffer from debilitating fears*. It has also been reported that more than 70% of Americans felt symptoms of depression in the weeks after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.** We truly risk becoming a nation living in dread!

This is also a golden opportunity for hypnosis professionals (And NLPers) to step up and take our rightful place in the mental health community! The big question is: Will hypnosis professionals and NLPers realize that they have the training and tools to make a huge impact on how millions of people feel and heal during these dark days? Will you?

I highly recommend Dr. Wil Horton's comprehensive CISR (Critical Incident Stress Resolution) training for those of you who are interested in additional training. I can assure you that this intensive and highly enjoyable, certified training covers every thing that you will need to proceed with competence and confidence.

Over the last several months, I haw discovered a powerful and fun way to enlighten and enlist the allied healthcare professionals in my community to educate their patients and/or clients about how helpful applied hypnosis and NLP can be.

What I did is offer them or a member of their staff a free session, which was designed to help them offload toxic feelings and emotions and feel better about themselves. They quickly rediscovered that not only do people who feel better heal better, they become more effective and efficient! They get more out of life!

The result has been that many of the doctors, psychotherapists, acupuncturists, herbalists, massage therapists, body workers, nutritionists, lifestyle coaches, etc., who have personally benefited from their session, now actively recommend my hypno-services to their patients and clients who report sleeplessness, high levels of anxiety, digestive difficulties and prolonged sadness to me.

Additionally during our session, these practitioners also discovered that they had many misconceptions about hypnosis and hypnosis practitioners. I am happy to report that they now also feel comfortable referring their patient or clients who want to stop smoking, manage their weight, over-come their fears or change unwanted habits to me as well.

I am confident that what has worked so very well for me will also work for you. I am also confident that if enough of us get out there and do what we do, it will not only build our practices and enhance our professional standing within our communities, it will also elevate the profession of hypnosis around the world.

You can make a huge contribution to the health and well being of people who urgently need your help!

Go for it!
