Total Re-Frame NLP Technique

You may be familiar with the Arnold Schwarzenegger film entitled "Total Recall". In this futuristic movie Arnie could take a virtual vacation by going to a clinic where they would implant the memory of any kind of vacation he desired…visiting any destination on the planet, with just about any person! Well, this inspired me to create the Total Re-Frame NLP Technique! In the Total Re-Frame NLP Technique one simply needs to first identify a goal whether it is to feel a specific way, be better at a specific skill or even overcome a fear or self-defeating thought pattern. Here’s how:

Total Re-Frame NLP Technique Instructions:

1. Identify a goal whether it is to lose weight, feel more enthusiastic or improve your golf game!

2. VAK it as if it (the goal) has already been achieved. See it in your mind’s eye. What do you see? Be as specific as possible. Where are you? What are you wearing? Don’t just say jeans if you’re wearing jeans. Are the jeans blue or black? Use your imagination! Put your imagination in overdrive and describe as much as possible. Who else is there with you? How are you feeling? Feel how it feels. What sounds are in the background? Mentally step into the picture and hear, smell and taste the picture. Now, open your eyes and write down what you just saw, felt, smelled, heard and tasted. You may, or may not, have experienced this image with all 5 senses.

3. Now close your eyes. Bring up, in your mind’s eye, the image you just created. Know that as long as your eyes are closed this image will remain in your mind. Keep your eyes closed long enough to be mentally present in this picture. Now, in your mind’s eye, count down from ten to one with the expectation that when you get to the number one your eyes will open fully and this goal (and image of this goal) will have transcended from your imagination to your reality. On the count of one you will open up your eyes and this new reality of being (use the words that describe your experience) will be fully present.

4. Record the following script: In a moment I’m going to start to count down from ten to one. As I count down from ten to one I will go into a deep relaxed state of mind which will be open to all possibilities that are consistent with my goals, dreams and desires. As I count down to one I will visualize the goal I have written down. I will visualize the goal as already being achieved. As I count down the image will become more and more real. The more I count down the more real this image becomes, and by the time I get to one and open my eyes I will now be aware that this image has transcended my imagination and crossed over to my present waking moment. By the time I get to one and open my eyes, my image is my reality. I have become what I imagined!

5. Counting down (with eyes closed). Ten…starting to see the picture more clearly. Nine, eight, seven…starting see the picture with more and more detail. Six…feeling more (state the desired feelings & really feel each feeling). Five…felling more (again, state the desired feelings & continue to feel the feelings). Four…hearing (state what you want to hear) loud and clear in the picture (think of what you, or others, are saying and what else you may be hearing. Three, two, and one. Your eyes are open, you feel great and you now are (state the desired goal!).

6. Play script. Replay several times daily for maximum effect!
