Go Straight To Your Goal By Nicholas THEN Wan Tzeh The technique is an alternate version of Go Straight To Your Goal. 1. Have client write out a description of having achieved the desire goal in at least two (2) different context. Pay attention to using as much sense of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell as possible. 2. Re-read to identify internal conflicts, usually in the form of physical discomfort feelings as the client reads the description. Change or add or delete certain words to make the whole story/description with minimum conflict and as believable as possible. 3. Re-read the descriptions to identify key feelings/resources needed to make the desired goal/state real/achievable/believable, especially to overcome the above ‘internal conflicts’. 4. Elicit the desired/needed resources or states using memory, external stories or if available, audio-visual materials such as short movie clips to generate feelings of success, confidence, skillful, having great powers, etc. Anchor and chain anchors. 5. Have three (3) chairs - Future chair, Present chair and Past chair. 6. Instruct the client sit on Present chair, do a quick Self-Appreciation technique, then fire chain anchor into the ‘desired/achieved goal’ state, looking at the Past chair and imagine seeing the state of not yet achieved goal. 7. Then have the client sit on Future chair, and imagine a state SOME TIME AFTER having achieved the goal, looking back at the Present chair as having achieved the goal, and looking back at the Past chair as state of not yet achieved goal. 8. This is to make the Desired State Achieved, represented by the ‘Present Chair’ more ‘detached’ and believable, and the client is to anchor again the ‘chain anchor’ (ie. intensify the believability of the desired state feeling). 9. Then have the client imagine the ‘Past chair’ as now being inside a room with holograph functionalities (like in Sci-fi ‘training/simulation’ rooms), the Future chair state is watching the Present chair state whom is ‘visiting and watching’ the Past chair state in hologram room, the hologram room is playing the scene of the ‘not yet achieved goal’ state (client’s actual current state), with all the challenges and obstacles. 10. In this double disassociated ‘mode’, the client is in “some time after having achieved the goal’ state, watching the “having just achieved goal state of himself/herself” whom is ‘visiting and watching’ the hologram of “not yet achieved goal” state – would be able to watch all the obstacles and challenges with detachment and minimum fear. Ask the client to send loving energy to himself/herself in the “not yet achieved goal” state, totally accepting that state for what it is, just like how one can totally accept a hologram. 11. The client (while sitting in the Past chair) then fires the anchor to step into the “having just achieved goal state”, and then steps into (taking over the physical body) the body of the “not yet achieved goal state”, thus, the client is having the ‘achieved goal’ feeling within the physical body in the hologram of not yet achieved goal state. Ask the client to send loving energy to himself/herself in the “not yet achieved goal” state, totally accepting that state for what it is, just like how one can totally accept a hologram. 12. The client then makes a mental note that he/she has already achieved his/her goal and totally accept the ‘experience’ of obstacles, challenges, fears as it is, just like totally accepting an experience in a hologram that is gradually evolving into the desired state (key is he/she feels he/she has already achieved the goal, and whatever she experiences as “not yet achieving goal” is disassociated and as part of ‘evolution’ process, totally accepted (totally alright) and is evolving into his/her Present chair state. 13. So, the Past chair is hologram representing client ‘current actual state’ (but metaphorically represented as ‘past’). The Present chair is representing ‘achieved goal’ state anchored with chain anchor. The Future chair is some time after having achieved goal state. 14. Break state by putting the Past and Future chairs/seats aside, look around the room and center himself/herself. 15.Sitting in the Present chair, relax the client/bring her into quick trance with simple breathing exercise and eyes closed. 16. Fire her anchor of having achieved her goal and imagine herself going about his/her current daily activities related to her goal. 17. TEST: ask her/him if she/he can see her/his current reality with a new feeling – the feeling of having achieved the goal. If she/he succeeds in seeing and feeling the current reality with the anchored state, notice how she/he responds, and what resources does she/he have now (eg confidence, believability of achieving goal, inner calm, better self-esteem/self-belief, etc.) 18. Follow up: If there are some remaining conflicts (eg. conflict of being pro-active to go after goal vs. being re-active and procrastinating), use Visual Squash with Regression to overcome them, and re-anchor the ‘clean, conflict-free’ desired state.
