Foundation Building Technique

By Michelle Mynatt

* Assessment.

*Define the goal with the client.

* Have the client define and label the challenges and obstacles they will face when attempting to reach their goal.

* Have the client label each challenge or obstacle in order of difficulty.

* Have the client define and label the positive outcomes and results of this goal being achieved.

* Again have the client number them in order of personal importance.

* Ask the client to then focus on the image of a brick wall.

* When the image is clear, solid, and concise in their mind’s eye, ask them to begin with the labels they chose for the obstacles they face. Have them begin at the bottom of the wall and label up, with the largest and most difficult challenges at the bottom of the wall.

* Tell the client that it is time for a new foundation and ask their subconscious mind directly, if they are ready and willing to proceed along with the positive changes they have decided to make today?

* If no, stop and review with your client when they may be ready and what it would take to get them there.

* If yes, proceed by asking them to look at the highest easiest brick and label on their wall. Have them focus in and discern what it is that they will do to alleviate this challenge in their lives. Continue down their bricks and wall with the client until you've reached the bottom and alleviated the challenges of the last brick.

* Some clients may not proceed through the bricks in one session, some may. If a client is not ready to make the necessary changes yet, stop and review with your client until you have found out what is necessary for them to make the changes or face the challenge.

* When your client has alleviated the challenges of the last brick tell them, it’s important to have positive boundaries and to face challenges and issues and that they will now allow themselves to update their minds information/data banks and allow for the old boundaries to shift and these new boundaries to be set in place.

* Then ask your client to retrieve their labels and positive outcomes they had established. Once they have these, ask them to go and begin to build new boundaries with a new positive foundation. Have them place each label on a new brick, the strongest best outcomes being placed on the bottom for the strongest foundation possible.
